CONFESSORS OF CHRIST CHURCH

Mission Statement

C3: Confessors of Christ Church is a community of believers in Jesus Christ striving to think Biblically and live on mission in the Four Corners / Central Florida Area and throughout the world for the glory of God.

The Local Church

We believe that the local church is God’s primary mission strategy, and therefore the means by which Jesus is made more famous as communities of light are scattered throughout the world to dispel the darkness.

Tony Alonso

Tony Alonso

Founding / Teaching Elder

Founding Pastor and Teaching Elder Tony Alonso is the father of 8 kids and raises them along side his wife, Coty. Together they started Confessors of Christ Church back in 2018 with a conviction of bringing forth a Christ-centered and Gospel-focused church to the Champions Gate, Disney, and Four Corners area.

Tony comes from the most unlikely of backgrounds when it comes to pastoring a reformed congregation with a focus on expository preaching. But, God tends to make the most radical transformations among the most unexpected of people. A life long entertainer, Tony made his living through DJ’ing the major central Florida theme parks and private events. Performing for tens of thousands of guests at the Magic Kingdom New Year’s Eve Celebration at Cinderella’s Castle for 8 years straight, Fairytale Weddings as seen on TV, and many celebrities. A background like this would usually lead to the motivational speaker circuit or man-centered, me-focused, preaching. Yet, it was God’s rescue of Tony’s heart and mind that helped him see that it wasn’t about his background, his abilities, or his resume, but all about God. Instead of making much of himself, Tony’s preaching is focused around making much of Jesus by walking through the Bible verse by verse.

Tony’s journey into eldership began with a multi-year discipleship program through a mentor and bible college which continued through a church residency affiliated with Acts29. It is through the church residency that the calling to church plant was affirmed through their elders and sent forth to plant Confessors of Christ Church.

Tony’s hobbies include astrophotography, taking his kids to the theme parks, and listening to old albums on vinyl.

Elder / Life Group Leader

My parents brought me to Walt Disney World the year the park opened. I don’t remember much of the trip, being all of 5 years old, but I saw the monorail and that’s all it took!  Florida, the Orlando area, Palm trees and sunshine all fused with my DNA.  It took 50 years to get here but all wonderful things are worth waiting for. My wife Heidi and I both grew up in Metro Atlanta where we taught school for 30 years.  The sunshine and palm trees have been great but finding our C3 Church home and family and growing exponentially in the Word and personal relationship with our Lord Jesus Christ has been a blessing.

Looking back over the 50 years that it took to make it here is to look at how God works in your life and how His sovereignty over our lives is perfect. Want the story or more on those 50 years? Let’s do lunch, dinner or meet for coffee!  Heidi and I will be celebrating our 33rd year of marriage this summer. We have two beautiful daughters that here in Florida as well.

I grew up in the Church but not really hearing the Gospel in those services.  When Heidi and I began dating (39 years ago!) Church was important to us both. As we grew and matured we realized through attending various Churches was all you need is a Church deeply rooted in the Word, Sharing the Gospel, and Equipping the Saints to carry out the Great Commission. That’s what we are committed to and strive to do here at C3 Church.

Dsicipleship / Elder-in-Training

I’m a native Floridian, born and raised in the Orlando area with my twin brother, Adam. We were raised in a Christian home and attended church every Sunday growing up. Faith has always been an integral part of my life and I’m very grateful to have been given that foundation at an early age.

In 2001 I met my wife Jacklynn on a trip to New York City. It was love at first sight and two years later we were married. Fast forward to today and we have 5 very energetic boys. Our family moved to the Four Corners/Championsgate area in 2019 in order to be closer to my work location. We made a list of churches to try when we moved and C3 was first on the list. We attended once, then threw the list in the trash because we knew we had found our church home.

In early 2021, I joined the Eldership Training Program here at C3, which has been an honor and a blessing to myself and my family. I now have the privilege of serving the church as Discipleship leader.

Outside of church you can find me at home spending time with my family, or playing hockey at one of the ice rinks in Central Florida. I love all things Pittsburgh Penguins, theology, video games, and technology.

Connections Director

I have been going to church my whole life. I remember being at church every Sunday morning, Sunday night, Wednesday night, and any other day that my mom volunteered to help with something. We were usually the last people to leave the church building because my mom was usually talking to people. So it’s not surprising that I love to talk to people.

Brad and I met while we were in high school. We dated for 5 years before getting married in 1990. We lived in metro Atlanta with most of our family living fairly close. I was an elementary school teacher, teaching general and special education, for 28 years before retiring to move to Florida in 2019. I also was the director for our special needs class at our previous church. We have two beautiful daughters, Lauren and Kristen. Lauren lives in Winter Garden and loves Disney as much as her dad. She is an elementary school teacher in Orange County. Kristen, our youngest, lives with us. She provides entertainment, adventure and challenges for us daily as she shows us what it is like to have Down Syndrome. She can be found on the front row every Sunday and loves to sing. If she was given permission, she would choose the worship songs every week.

We are so blessed to have found C3. Kristen decided that C3 was our new church home on the very first Sunday we visited. On our second visit she ran across the parking lot to get inside. I have grown so much in my walk with Jesus since we started attending C3. Every Sunday I learn something new about the Bible. It is an honor to be a part of leadership. I love meeting new people and building relationships between people. My goal is to help every person who walks through the doors at C3 find someone with whom they can connect. Hopefully that connection will help them draw personally closer to God. So, if you are not feeling connected, please come talk to me.
